HERO OF ROME 1964 (RETROMEDIA)

Gordon Scott stars in this tale of a man who helps try to overthrow an evil king only to fail. He sticks his right hand in a fire as self punishment, only to lead the people again as a one handed master sword fighter.
This is pretty standard stuff as far as sword and sandal films go, but it's always a pleasure to see Scott, who was one of the better actors in films like this.
Released in widescreen and the colors look good and the picture is also just fine. Recommended for S&S genre fans.
