Simply put, this is one of the the 10 greatest sci-fi films ever made. Aliens from Mars invade the earth and almost destroy the entire planet. Based on the H.G. Wells novel of the same name, this film is moved to contemporary Los Angeles.
Gene Barry, Ann Robinson and Les Tremayne are the three excellent stars of this film. Movies simply don't come any better than this, the effects are top notch and much better than the "defects" they use today, and the acting isn't overshadowed by the effects. The martians aren't seen but for a second or two and it is always better that way.
If you haven't ever seen this, I suggest you do so soon. Please avoid the droll and silly remake with Tom.....whatever his damn name is.
