Michael Rennie is Garth A7, a cyborg sent to modern times by the future race in order to stop the creation of a machine that an evil future world will use to totally enslave the world.
Garth meets up with a young female scientist named Sharon Mason played by the gorgeous Karen Steele. She helps Garth in his mission and they also enlist the aid of Carl Zeller a doctor who happens to like Sharon. Garth is seeking Prof. Sigmund Marx, whose creation will cause the future nothing but trouble.
The future also send two cyborg guards who are seeking Garth to kill him and they are interested in nothing but that. This is a well made, very low budget film that had to be inspiration for "The Terminator".
I like all of the veteran actors in this film which includes Wendell Corey, Eduard Franz, Harry Carey, Jr., Adam Roarke, and Shug Fisher. It's really too bad this little gem isn't on a legit DVD release, but at least I was able to get a great print from someone in Canada. If you get a chance, check it out.
