Neill's career started in 1940 with an uncredited role is a small little film called "Mad Youth". She made several other uncredited films until 1942 with a film called "Henry and Dizzy".
She never reached great success until she essayed the role of Lois Lane in season 2 of "The Adventures Of Superman" opposite George Reeves. She spent 5 years in the role and loved every minute of it.
Phyllis Coates was Lois Lane in the first season and after Coates backed out of further roles, Neill got the part. Neill spent the rest of her professional life living Lois Lane and never seemed to get tired of being typecast.
That in and of itself is a rare find in actors today. She passed away peacefully at the age of 95.
