I don't want to give too much away as this movie is brilliant.
A man named Preston (Matt McCoy) who is confined to a wheelchair after a hiking accident that killed his wife, goes to his mountain cabin as part of his rehab.
He notices four beautiful young women have the cabin next to his, but his main trouble is the fact that he spots a horrible looking monster stalking the woods and nobody believes him.
He sees it kill one of the girls and since his phone lines are down he communicates with the Sheriff's office vis email, but again they don't believe him.
One by one the women are killed by the creature and Preston becomes more frantic. The ending sees Preston and the last survivng young woman, Amanda (Haley Joel) managing to stop the creatures rampage and survivng the incident.
However, all is not over yet...and that is all I will say. The final shot of the film is something only a great mind behind a "B" movie could have thought of.
This film is well done and everything just falls into place. I'm glad this finally made it to Blu-ray and can now be seen by more people, because it a modern classic. It's kind of a mix between Hitchcock's "Rear Window" and a horror film. What is amazing is that it works!!!!
The creature is cool looking and well done. The cast also includes Dee Wallace Stone, Jeffery Combs, Lance Henriksen, Christien Tinsley, Karin Anna Cheung, Natalie Compagno, Paul Gleason, Tiffany Shepis, Ashley Hartman and Rex Linn.
A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED horror film.
