Creepshow is one of my ten favorite films ever made, and in my opinion, the best film of the 80's. The 90 minute documentary talks about the film and covers just about every subject from casting, to budget, to the comic book look.
There are interviews with many who worked on the film including George Romero, Tom Savini, Adrienne Barbeau, Tom Atkins and others.
I grew up reading EC Comics and when I had seen this film was coming out and I was really excited. Fangoria magazine posted some great pics and I cannot recall any film I have ever been this excited to see.
Anyway, this documentary gives you a great look at this classic film. There is no interview with Stephen King as he always refuses to grant them for DVD's, but don't let that deter you.
There are a ton of extras as well including interviews with Michael Gornick, extended interviews with Romero, on the set footage with Tom Savini, Scream Greats Vol. 1: Tom Savini and a 1982 "Evening Magazine" segment on the film.
Any true fan of Creepshow will NOT want to miss out on seeing this. This is no doubt one of the top releases of the year.
I watched this last night and it is great. I was not aware it was form 2007 and I was impressed Ed Harris was in it. Of course I followed this up with my new Creepshow blu.
ReplyDeleteYes they do make a great double feature, and I am glad you liked it.
