Umberto Lenzi brings us a very well told terror tale that finally makes it to Blu-ray thanks to Shout Factory.

This has been a rather hard film to see, and it has eluded me for years, but Shout has finally made it available. The story revolves around a group of people who come together in a house that appears to be haunted.

Several people have visions of a dead little girl and her clown doll. Both of them together are creepy as hell, and the doll is something to behold, especially when baring all of it's sharp teeth!!

There are also several gory murders including death by fan blade, which I found very unique. This is, of course an Italian film and the dubbing is a little off, but don't let that deter you.

Lenzi used the name Humphrey Humbert for this film, but it has the Lenzi touches one cannot miss if you have seen some of his gore films. The ending is a very good twist and it sets things up for a sequel, but that never happened, and perhaps that is a good thing.

The print Shout has is excellent, and it sounds very good as well. This is a top release for this year, and it is on a disc with another film entitled "Witchery" which I will talk about here in a day or two.

I recommend this film, and suggest you check it out. You won't be disappointed.
