The team of L.Q. Jones and Alvy Moore strike again with a very well made tale of witchcraft.
Moore plays a man who has a scientific research team that comes out to a Louisiana swamp to investigate several murders that he believes are linked to witchcraft.
Anthony Eisley is a reporter along for a story who starts out as a skeptic, but soon learns that witchcraft is very real. He falls for the "sensitive" of the group, Anastasia played by the gorgeous Thordis Brandt.
The warlock that has been killing women is Luther the Berserk played excellently by John Lodge. There is a lot of very eerie scenery and shots in this film and it is one of my favorites.
The ending is a shocker that takes the viewer totally by surprise. If you like horror films, I would hope you'd like this. Sinister offers both a widescreen print and a pan and scan version.
The rest of the cast for this horror gem includes Shelby Grant, Burt Mustin, Larry Vincent and Sue Bernard. Recommended Halloween viewing.
