MURDER BY INVITATION 1941 (MILL CREEK)

What a great little film from Monogram!

When the family of an elderly woman tries to have her declared insane, but fail she invites all of her relatives to her home for a week to inherit 3 million dollars that she has. This little stint is also to show that there are no hard feelings between her and the other family members.

However, one by one the family members are killed. A reporter and his sidekick move into the house for a big scoop and get a little more than they bargained for.

The reporter is played by Wallace Ford and his helper is played very well by Marian Marsh. They learn the house is full of sliding panels and secret doors and this makes it very easy for the killer to get his job done and then disappear.

When watching this one can tell it's a rushed production, but it turns out very well and kind of drags the viewer in and keeps you interested until the bizarre ending.

Some films turn out better than expected, and this is one of them. Highly Recommended!!
