THE DARK HOUR 1934 (MILL CREEK)

Chesterfield Pictures strikes again.

The plot of this murder mystery revolves around two rich and elderly men who are brothers and are wards of their niece. One of the men is murdered and soon chaos results.

The niece Elsa (Irene Ware) enlists the aid of a detective to solve the murder. She and the detective, Jim Landis (Ray Walker) slowly fall in love while the list of suspects grows.

There is no shortage of suspects and I found the plot to be very complicated and full of twists, which is odd for a very low budget film such as this.

Not too bad of a film as far as 30's murder mysteries go. If you get a chance to see this or any of these kinds of films, I suggest you check them out. They can be a lot of fun, and I have many more to review here over the next few weeks.

The cast for this film also includes Hedda Hopper, Hobart Bosworth and E. E. Clive.
