REPTILICUS 1961 (SHOUT FACTORY/TIMELESS)

This is another re-review.

A while back I reviewed this when it was part of the MGM "Midnight Movie" line. Now it has been re-released on the "Movies 4 You" More Sci-Fi Classics" disc along with "Amazing Transparent Man", "Brain That Wouldn't Die" and "Neanderthal Man".

Danish made film about the tail of a prehistoric monster that comes to life and begins to grow into a huge creature that goes on a rampage thru Copenhagen and destroy it.

The military is called out and the monster proves tougher to kill than thought simply because it cannot be blown up because every little body part will again grow into a giant monster. The effects are ok for a low budget film and I always liked the fact the monster spits out a green slime like substance that burns it's victims. You don't actually see them burned, but it is mentioned several times.

The quality of the movie on the disc is fine, but there are a couple of very quick scenes where the picture is somewhat blurred. This will by no means interfere with watching this film and I believe it's because of the compression used by putting four movies on one disc.

A good monster movie from Denmark.
