John Howard stars a Bulldog Drummond. In this outing he must stop a madman who has stolen an atomic generator that has the capability of causing explosions from a half a mile.
This entry really goes into the science fiction realm and it works very well. It also helps that the lead villian is Rolf played by the wonderful George Zucco.
The beautiful Heather Angel is Phyllis, the woman Drummond is supposed to be getting married to, but he is too busy chasing down evil doers.
The production history for this and the other seven films are somewhat unknown, but after they were made Paramount sold them to Congress Films for re-release in the mid 50's. Paramount hated these movies and didn't even bother to renew the copyright to any of them. That is why there are many sub-standard prints floating around.
The rest of the cast for this fun little film includes E.E. Clive, Reginald Denny, H.B. Warner, Jean Fenwick and Zeffie Tilbury.
