In all these years my love for this movie hasn't waned at all. It's a sword and sandal version of The Magnificent Seven, and it works very well because of the cast.
Lou Ferrigno stars as Han, a man destined to fight evil all over the world. He is recruited by a small village that has had all of their men killed by an evil ruler named Nicerote (Dan Vadis).
Han assembles his small army and soon the battle is on. The army includes Scipio (Brad Harris) and Julia (Sybil Danning) and they are just as fierce as Han.
There is a lot of action in this movie and the plot, as I already described, is very simple. It's always nice seeing Danning in a leather warrior outfit sweating and kicking ass.
Director Bruno Mattei got a great cast together and it was good to see the likes of Harris and Vadis in this film. Hell, all fans of these kinds of movies grew up with these two action stars.
This has still not been released on and physical media except VHS back in the late 80's. However, it's streaming and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you see this little gem.
I gotta admit the final battle between Han and Nicerote is a classic.
