The Asylum brings us a dinosaur epic with ok CGI and very simple plot.
Two atificially bred dinosaurs that have been bred to be as smart as people get loose in an abandoned facotry and a team of rag tag mercenaries are called in to get rid of them.
I found the few twists and turns interesting. The mercenaries soon find out that they are part of an elaborate scheme to show how the dinos are capable of being better soldiers than men are world powers are bidding on dinos as well.
Yes, the mercenaries are disposable and a huge US corporation wants to make big money off the unstoppable creatures. This movie moves along at a good pace and I wasn't bored at all.
This is the kind of movie you just have to shut off your brain and enjoy. The cast includes Michael Pare, Linnea Quigley (in a very different role), Ramiro Lee, Kristie Kruger, Sienna Farall and Kevin Keeling.
Believe it or not I recommend this to horror and sci-fi fans. It's a fun film. Give it a chance.
