The movie opens in a New York night club where a very rich man named Tex Irwin (Lyle Talbot) is killed. He has been bitten by a rattlesnake.
Lawrence follows a beautiful young woman named Vanessa Drake (Carole Gallagher) out west to a Texas ranch. Both are in turn followed by inspector Donovan (Cliff Clark) and Detective Bates (Edward Gargan).
More mystery and murder ensue as Lawrence tries to cope with beautiful women, angry cowhands and Indians in attempting to solve the killings.
There is some light comedy sprinkled thru the movie, as is usual in this series and it moves along very well in its brief running time of 64 minutes.
The final wrap up of the movie plays somewhat like a usual western, but with a twist. If you enjoy this series as much as I do, you won't be disappointed.
The rest of the cast includes Barbara Hale, Joan Barclay, Minor Watson and Lee Trent.
