FALCON IN SAN FRANCISCO 1945 (WARNER ARCHIVE)

This is the 11th of 16 Falcon films from RKO.

Tom Conway again takes the lead as Tom Lawrence aka The Falcon. In this film Lawrence and his assistant Goldie Locke (Edward Brophy) are on their way to San Francisco for a vacation.

On the train they meet a sweet young child named Annie Marshall (Sharyn Moffett) whose nurse is discovered murdered. Tom decides to make sure the young lass returns home, but is arrested en route and charged with kidnapping.

He is bailed out of jail by a mysterious women named Doreen Temple (Fay Helm). This ends up getting Lawrence involved in a web of murder and silk smuggling.

This is a fast moving film that any fan would enjoy. There are several good plot twists and there is almost always something happenng on the screen, which is as it should be.

Conway does his usual great job as the lead in The Falcon. The rest of the cast includes John Mylong, Paula Corday, Robert Armstrong, George Holmes, Carl Kent and Myrna Dell.

One of the best of the series.
