RIDERS OF BLACK MOUNTAIN 1945 (ALPHA)

Fun little PRC western.

Tim McCoy stars as Tim Donovan, a US Marshal disguised as a gambler to investigate a series of stagecoach robberies.

At first Donovan is suspected by the Sheriff, Clay Matthews (Rex Lease), but that soon changes when Tim shows him his Government ID papers.

This movie is a brisk 57 minutes and was directed by Sam Newfield, of course. McCoy does his usual outstanding job of acting and bringing a larger than life character to the screen.

I have always enjoyed these early westerns ever since I was introduced to them by my grandfather. If you like westerns of this era, then this is a film I suggest you check out.

I have to admit it was odd to see McCoy dressed in black from head to toe without his usual white cowboy hat. Yep, some of us notice things like this.
