Very rare crime film falls flat, but did have a few good moments.

The very simple plot involves a man named Mike (Jeff Baker) and a beautiful woman named Dena (Sandy Roberts) who are fighting gangsters on the streets of Cleveland for $100,000.

The voice track is clearly overdubbed in the low budget effort. During the first 20 minutes or so I was taken with this film, but then it just started to lose my interest as the plot really slowed down.

During the film there are plenty of murders, double crosses and the torture of Dena by the gangsters whcih all leads to a final foot chase involving Dena, Mike and the gangsters for the money.

In typical film noir fashion all does not end well for anyone with only Dena coming out alive, but facing a long jail sentance. The flms runs 75 minutes, but should have only been an hour for a much tighter film.

I was shocked to see this on TUBI and decided I had to see it. Feel free to check it out, and check out late 60's Cleveland.

This is the MOST twisted knock off of the "Most Dangerous Game" I have ever seen, or probably will see for that matter.

The original version of this film ran 55 minutes, but this version is needlessly padded out with scenes of naked women, and that kind of slows the movie down, but it's still crazy.

A psychotic woman named Virginia (Eileen Lord) offers three men $100,000 if they can survive in Manhatten while she hunts them down. She kills with a crossbow and other means.

This is, of course, an ultra low budget affair, but my God the people in this film seem either really creepy or insane. I choose the latter. Virginia is truely insane as she plans her killings and in how she stalks her victims.

This was available for years on DVD from Something Weird, but I never got a chance to see it. The ending of the film is very shocking, and the final scene will stay with you for some time to come.

I can't recommend this for everyone, but if you like off the wall, twisted cinema, then this is really for you. I wish I had more information on the making of this film. I bet that would make a story to read!!

See this by all means.

For years I have only had my copy I made from Fox Movie Channel, but this one is much better.

This DVD is widescreen and the opening title is in German, but the movie is in English and just beautiful.

The plot of this very rare movie concerns a scientist played by Paul Frees who gets a sample of life from outer space and keeps it in his lab. While he is experimenting with it his ex wife shows up and demands the custody of their son.

After much arguing he agrees only to get her out of his life. His experiment gets out of control and before you know it, a dangerous, spore producing blood rust is loose. The police and scientists try to track down his wife as she has become a carrier of the all consuming blood rust.

There is a very good documentary feeling to this film as the authorities use everything in their power to find the woman and stop the dangerous life form.

It's a great 50's sci-fi film that moves along at a great pace. It was nice to finally see this in widescreen and if you can find a copy like this, then get it and see the film as it was meant to be seen.

The rest of the cast includes Bill Williams, Thomas B. Henry, Lyn Thomas, Moe Howard and Robert Ellis. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Another favorite 50's sci-fi film.

The quality on this is beautiful and a huge upgrade from a much older copy I have.

Forrest Tucker stars as Gil Graham, a scientist working as an assistant to Dr. Laird (Alec Mango) who is conducting experiments with changing the chemical makeup of various metals.

The experiments have unexpected consequences such as creating freak weather and blowing out TV sets in a small town. It also attracts an alien from another planet who comes to Earth to stop the scientists.

The alien who calls himself Smith (Martin Benson) attempts to explain his mission to Gil and Michele Dupont (Gaby Andre). Both come to believe him as the experiments gets worse and worse.

Soon there are giant insects roaming the countryside and the military is called in to stop the invaders. Laird however has been driven insane by his experiments and so the alien must also destroy him.

This is a fun and offbeat British sci-fi film that has never failed to entertain me. The effects are so-so, but who cares. I like it anyway. This is also known as "The Strange World Of Planet X". If you haven't seen it, check it out.

One of my fondest childhood memories.

I obtained a DVD-R of this film after years of having a bootleg that I made myself years ago.

Peter Graves stars as a scientist whose best friend, another scientist named Tom Anderson (Lee Van Cleef) has helped an alien from Venus land on Earth.

Tom believes that the alien is here to help mankind, but boy is he wrong. The alien stops all power in the world and beings to send out little flying monsters to bite several key people and make them his slaves so he can conquer the Earth.

Graves' character of Paul Anderson must fight the invasion by himself as nobody believes his story of invasion, except Tom, who finally helps Paul only after his wife Claie (Beverly Garland) is killed by the invader.

I don;t care what anyone says, this is a very enjoyable Roger Corman film and it will always be one of my favorite films. The quality on this is a little better than my bootleg was and I do thank the folks who have this available.

The rest of the cast includes Dick Miller, Sally Fraser, Jonathan Haze, Taggert Casey, Russ Bender and Karen Kadler.

I also must add that I think this monster is one of the best 50's monsters ever to be in a movie. Call me crazy, but it's too cool.

The always beautiful and talented Shandi Finnessey turned 45 on June 9th.

One of the best horror films made.

When I was a child I didn't really appreciate this film, but as I grew older I had to change my mind.

Boris Karloff stars as John Grey, a man who supplies a doctor named MacFarlane (Henry Daniell) with corpses for his medical studies. Macfarlane hates the ground Grey walks on, but he has no choice but to work with him.

When Grey starts killing people and brining them to the doctor, MacFarlane knows this must end and so he plots to kill Grey. The terror mounts until the doctor believes he has finally killed Grey, but this sets up one of the most terrifying scenes ever in a film. I won't give it away in case you haven't seen this gem, but believe me, the payoff is cinema perfection.

This Val Lewton produced and Robert Wise directed horror film just might be Karloff's best film ever. The blu-ray is beautiful and it also includes a documentary on Val Lewton.

Once seen there are several set pieces that you'll never forget. Not only the scary climax but the scene where the street singer is suddenly silenced is utterly chilling. A VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDE THRILLER.

The rest of the cast includes Bela Lugosi, Edith Atwater, Russell Wade and Rita Corday.

Very odd and somewhat interesting Italian crime film.

The film opens with a young child who witnesses her father kill her mother and her lover before turning the gun on himself.

Flash to the present with Mariale (Evelyn Stewart) inviting several friends and their spouses to her mansion for what is supposed to be a nice and quiet weekend get together.

It isn't long before the group get involved in an orgy and then the people are killed in gruesome ways one by one. The orgy scene is long and boring and I couldn't wait for it to end so maybe we could get to the murders.

The best scene in the entire movie involves one of the guests killed in a swimming pool by being hit with a pipe over and over. Other than this, the film doesn't know what it wants to be.

This was an ok movie, but it did not hold my attention well and that is odd for an Italian mystery. It's your choice to watch it, but in my opinion you might be better off skipping this one.

Even the ending is really no surprise.

This has been called the best documentary about professional wrestling ever made.

This profiles the private and business lives of several wrestlers including Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Jake "The Snake" Roberts and others.

There is some very interesting things including what some of their wives think of their husbands profession and how it affects the lives of everyone. The most disturbing is Jake Roberts. We see him after he has taken several snorts of cocaine, and the effect it has on him.

It also shows the reactions of Mick Foley's wife and children during his epic match against The Rock where he takes about a dozen chair shots to the head.

These are the disturbing aspects of the business nobody sees and at the time this was the only documentary to show the real other side of the business. It ain't pretty.

The WWF was opposed to this film and didn't want it shown, but too bad, it came out anywhere to great critical acclaim. As with all of these documentaries, you have to be a fan to understand what this is really all about.

Yet another great documentary.

This 60 minutes is the most fun a wrestling fan can have in these times.

It details the rise of comedy legend Andy Kaufman into the world of professional wrestling, and the classic run he had with Memphis Wrestling during the 80's with Jerry Lawler.

Memphis wrestling was an excellent product to begin with, but it really hit it's peak in the 80's and this put it in the stratosphere. Kaufman REALLY knew how to sell the heel gimmick.

The story is told by some of his Taxi co-stars, Robin Williams and those in the wrestling business including Lawler andannouncer Lance Russell. Kaufman was a genius and he knew it.

If you're a rwestling fan from back in the day this is a great trip down memory lane. If you're not familiar with this then watch and see how things used to be and how much fun it all was.

I cannot recommend this enough. One of the best ever.

One of my favorite actresses has died.

Noreen Nash was not a big name in the movie biz, but I sure liked her in anything she was in, and that was quite a few things.

When she began her acting career in 1943 she spent the first 4 years in manu uncredited bit parts until her role in the 1947 film "The Devil On Wheels" and then her career started moving.

She appeared in other films such as "Assigned To Danger", "Wake Me When It's Over" and her only genre effort "Phantom From Space". Noreen found most of her work in TV and appeared in shows such as "Ramar Of The Jungle", "Yancy Derringer", "77 Sunset Strip" and many more.

She was indeed a beauty and she caught my eye at a very young age. Noreen Nash passed away on June 6th, 2023 at the age of 99.
