CASTLE OF THE WALKING DEAD 1967 (SINISTER CINEMA)

An underrated horror gem!

Christopher Lee stars as a dead warlock who comes back to life in order to gain a potion that will enable him to achieve immortality. Lex Barker is a descendent of the man who ordered Lee quartered.

Ultra sexy Karin Dor is the woman he wants to drain of blood. The film is dripping with Euro Horror flavor and is very surreal, especially when the coach with Barker and Dor travels thru a forest with dead bodies all around.

Very interesting and wonderful horror from Germany. Highly recommended, and another thanks to Sinister for making this available.

CATTLE QUEEN OF MONTANA 1954 (VCI)

Allen Dwan directed this well made western.

Barbara Stanwyck stars as a young woman who fights a villainous rancher for the land that is rightfully hers. Ronald Reagan is the undercover agent who ends up helping her.

Lots of beautiful scenery as this was partially filmed in Glacier National Park. Gene Evans is the evil rancher and his men include Jack Elam and Myron Healey. Lance Fuller is a friendly Indian who helps Stanwyck and Tony Caruso is his evil brother.

Lots of fun in this very good technicolor western that should please fans of the genre.

TAKE A HARD RIDE 1975 (SHOUT FACTORY)

Another classic western.

Jim Brown plays a rugged trail boss and reformed criminal who promises his dying boss that he will deliver $86,000 in payroll money to a ranch.

Many hear that he has that kind of money and he soon finds himself the target of numerous robbery and murder attempts. Joining him are a card sharp played by Fred Williamson, a young woman whose husband has been killed played by Catherine Spaak and her helper Kashtok played by Jim Kelly.

Lee Van Cleef is a bounty hunter out for the money and the trail bosses life, Dana Andrews is the man whom Brown made the promise and Barry Sullivan is a crooked sheriff who wants the money.

This movie is almost non stop gunfights, judo, and chases which all work very well. A great cast and directed by Antonio Margheriti. Recommended for fans of Spaghetti westerns.

SHRIEK IN THE NIGHT 1932 (TREELINE)

Interesting early 30's horror.

Ginger Rogers and Lyle Talbot are two reporters working on the same project which happens to be a story about a man who might have been murdered. He fell from an apartment window many stories up.

Soon they have a whole series of murders being committed in the same building. This is good fun and very entertaining as Rogers and Talbot try to outscoop each other. If you haven't seen this check it out, you'll enjoy it.

TICKS 1993 (OLIVE)

Finally this film comes to DVD!!

A group of troubled teens arrive in the woods for a stay at a camp and soon find themselves fighting for their lives against giant mutated ticks that have come into being as a result of marijuana growers using steroids on their plants.

Rosalind Allen and Peter Scolari are the two adults who take the kids and Seth Green and Ami Dolenz are two of the several teens on the trip. Ami is beautiful as always and looks super hot here.

The ticks themselves are very well done and gross as hell. I am proud to be associated with this film and am very grateful to Olive for putting out a beautiful widescreen print. God I do love Ami Dolenz. Very Highly Recommended!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO.....

DANCE OF DEATH 1960 (SINISTER CINEMA)

The Saint returns!!

French thriller starring Felix Marten as Simon Templar who takes the case of a man who is targeted by assassins.

Templar collects a huge salary for the job and hangs out with three very sexy women while on the case. One great scene has him locked in a tomb and rising out of a grave. This is a good thriller which moves along very well and has an interesting twist ending.

A good find from Greg Luce at Sinister Cinema. Recommended!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO.....

MILL OF THE STONE WOMEN 1960 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Greg Luce and Co. strike again.

Sinister Cinema brings us this wonderful looking print of a truly Gothic horror film about a man who keeps his daughter alive by draining the blood of young girls and giving it to her. He then takes the dead bodies and makes them into wax figures in a bizarre museum inside a huge windmill.

The color is absolutely beautiful and it drips a Euro flavor!! This is a slowly paced film, but that isn't bad at all...it is never boring. The women are gorgeous as usual and it should please any horror fan.

A young man goes to the windmill to meet the old professor who lives there and falls for his attractive but very strange daughter, and from there gets pulled into a bizarre world of dead people and blood thefts. Highly Recommended!!

THE GORILLA 1939 (TREELINE)

The Ritz Brothers!!

The three brothers play detectives who are called in when a wealthy man is threatened with death by a mysterious killer called "The Gorilla."

Lionel Atwill is the man set to be murdered, Bela Lugosi is the heroic butler, Patsy Kelly screams a lot and Anita Louise is a damsel in distress. The Ritz Brothers are an acquired taste and some may not find them funny, but I enjoyed the film even if it has weak comedy, you might too.

RIC FLAIR AND THE FOUR HORSEMEN 2007 (WWE)

More classic wrestling.

This 2 disc presentation focuses on one of the most memorable "heel" groups in pro wrestling "The Four Horsemen" which ran thru most of the mid to late 80's in the NWA.

The group consisted of Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Ole Anderson and they RULED wrestling as the Four Horsemen. The long running feud with Dusty Rhodes is legendary and will always be remembered by fans.

The group was managed by James J. Dillon and they all worked very well as a unit and actually lived the life they talked about when doing interviews. Hard partying, lots of women and mucho dollars. Ole left the group and there were various changes made and new members including Lex Lugar and Barry Windam.

If you like pro wrestling you'll enjoy this documentary and the many matches they have included in this set. Recommended!!
