INFERNO 1997 (RETROMEDIA)

This is the first American film to be shot entirely in India.

Fred Olen Ray directed this fine film starring Don "The Dragon" Wilson as Kyle Conners, an Interpol agent who is seeking revenge on those that killed his partner and best friend during a drug bust.

Conners is sent to India by his boss played by the director Fred Olen Ray. Once there he meets Callista Sinclair (Tane McClure) who immediately disrobes and tries to seduce him.

Conners discovers that she is a double agent and this puts his life in even worse danger. There is a ton going on plot-wise in this film and it will hold your interest.

You might find this film under the title "Operation Cobra" but either way it's a good one. There are plenty of fights, gunbattles and beautiful women. Deepti Bhatnagar is gorgeous as Shalimar, the woman who steals Conners heart.

While it is not much different than any of the other direct to video action films, it's a Fred Olen Ray film, so it's a bit better than the others. The commentary by Ray on the DVD is eye opening to be sure.

The rest of the cast includes Jillian Kessner, Gary Graver and Rick Hill. I can easily recommend this.
