DORABELLA 1977 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Another excellent BBC production.

The story opens inside a Gentleman's Club where a young man named Philip Hambleton (David Robb) starts telling the story of how he and a friend, Walter Von Lamont (Jeremy Clyde) traveled thru Eastern Europe.

They stop at a small Inn and Walter is very taken with another traveler, a beautiful woman named Dorabella (Ania Marson). From the very moment he meets her things start to get very strange.

Walter's friendship with Philip becomes very strained and soon it snaps. Walter is totally obsessed with Dorabella even after he finds out that she is a vampire. At her castle, Walter finds she wants him more than Philip as he is the stronger of the two.

The ending finds us back at the Gentlemen's Club where we see Walter's fate for having tried to rescue Philip. This was an episode of the British TV series "Supernatural" and is very, very well done.

Clyde was a member of the rock duo Chad nd Jeremy in the 60's and had a pretty good acting career after the music. If you get a chance you will want to check out this fine slice of gothic horror.
