She had a walk on part in the film "Murderer's Row" starring Dean Martin, but she will always be remembered for a film called "Gallery Of Horrors".
She was the very beautiful Julie Farrell in the story entitled "Witches Clock". She also played a vampire in another story in the film. A very beautiful woman who captured my attention when I first saw the David Hewitt classic.
She passed away on Nov. 15th at the age of 81.
A woman named Rita (Stephanie Lodge) receives a phone call from her mother that her father isn't doing well. Rita decides to bring her family up for a visit and help out her mother.
When her and her husband, son and daughter plus daughters' boyfriend arrive they can't find anyone at home. Rita, husband Alan (Ryan Davies) and son Ben (Jake Watkins) hike into town leaving their daughter Charlie (Georgina Lane) and her boyfriend Tyler (Will Stanton) to work on the car that has also died under mysterious circumstances.
The town seems abandoned, but there are a few blood stains around. In the meantime Chrlie and Tyler are being stalked by a weird monster that hunts by sound only.
Soon all hell breaks loose as everyone is fighting for survival against this vicious monster that tears it's victims up, and others it puts in cocoons for later use.
The creature is pretty unique looking and is an escaped scientific project from a secret base near the town. There are some pretty some tense moments during this movie and everything comes off pretty well. It's nothing new, but it works well.
If you want a good scare, check this one out. Recommended!!
Hoppy (William Boyd) and California Carlson (Andy Clyde) find themselves heading to California to help Lucky Jenkins (Russell Hayden) who is trying by himself to bring justice to a small town.
This small town is overrun with criminals all headed by Bruce Morgan (Morris Ankrum) and everyone seems to be afraid to do something about it.
After a bit of investigation Hoppy and California decide to form a posse and take on Morgan and his gang. There is a great gunfight at the end of the movie and it really holds your attention.
This was the first of 35 consecutive films in which Andy Clyde would appear as California. The rest of the cast for this top notch western includes Morgan Wallace, Esther Estrella, Dick Curtis and Glenn Strange.
Lesley Selander directs this film with solid skill and any western fan should enjoy this.
Meiko Kaji stars as Nami Matsushima, a young woman who is used and then betrayed by a detective she was in love with.
She is sent to a womens prison, after attempting to stab he ex-boyfriend, where violence and corruption prevail. Inside of the jail Nami is always having to fight for her life against various inmates and prison guards.
As is usual in this seriers of films Nami does not have a lot of dialogue, but the viewer can see the hate in her eyes as well as every other emotion. That is the sign of a great actress.
Sugimi (Natsuyagi Isao), who is Nami's former lover and the crooked detective plots to have the Mafia kill Nami in prison so his corruption will never be discovered.
There is a lot of violence in this film and the entire movie is shot in a very beautiful way. The scenes where Nami is thinking about her past with Sugimi is wonderfully done. I can't really describe it, but see it for yourself.
This is the second film in this series I have seen, and both have been very good. This is a highly recommended film that action fans shouldn't miss.
Morales appeared in a lot of Spanish TV shows, but most genre fans know her from her roles in such films as "Feast Of Satan", "Curse Of The Devils", "Witches Mountain", and "Blue Eyes Of The Broken Doll".
She died in Madrid on Dec. 5th, 2021 at the age of 69.
This movie reminds me of how Francis made "Beast Of Yucca Flats". There appears to be no sync sound and you rarely see people speak when they are on camera, onl;y when they are off camera!!
This was shot in 1954 and not released until 1965, but should it have been released at all is my question. Misty Ayres stars as Sally Downs, a young woman who travels to Hollywood looking for a career as a model, but ends up being drugged and taken into slavery instead.
It sounds like it would make a great exploitation story, but alas, it's a total bore. The director was Sid Melton whom I remember most as Alf Monroe from Green Acres.
During the opening credits it appears that the titles was taken from another movie as it doesn't match up with the rest of the film. I can understand why this sat on a shelf for 10 years. It was released on DVD on the Something Weird label a few years ago, but I just caught it on streaming, and it's the last time I will waste 60 minutes watching this again.
I haven't seen anything so bad in years, at least that was bad and NOT good. Avoid this at all costs and save yourself the misery of watching this.
Billy Zane stars as Kevin, a wealthy man whose girlfriend Sadie (AnnaLynne McCord) cathes him involverd in an affair with her best friend Jennifer (Viva Bianca).
Sadie is not exactly sane and she sets up a romantic weekend for the two of them, but what they don't know is she will be there as well. This sets up a night of sadism, torture and much more as Sadie exacts revenge on both Kevin and Jennifer.
There are some shocking scenes in this film and at times it's so over the top it plays like a twisted black comedy. Zane is ok in his role as Kevin and Bianca is very attractive as Jennifer, but the star of the show is the very sexy McCord.
Her performance is way out there and it works for the kind of movie this is. She tortures the two in various ways including making them have sex while she watches, crushing Jennifer's hand in a vice, hobbling Kevin in a scene that is stolen from "Misery" and much more.
The ending is very unique and it plays out well. It involves an escaped killer from a prison and the way Sadie uses him and makes him seem sane by comparison.
You could do much worse in this genre and I recommend you check this one out. It's a wild ride that you won'r forget. Again, McCord is absolutely sexy as hell in this and you might even find yourself rooting for her.
Yvonne Wilder made her debut in the musical "West Side Story" in 1961 and went on to become a very visible TV actress.
She appeared in many shows including "Operation Petticoat", "One Day At A Time", and "Full House" just to name a few. However her claim to fame among genre fans was her great role in the 1971 horror classic "Return Of Count Yorga".
Her performance is something not soon forgotten. She passed away on Nov. 24th, 2021 at the age of 84.
