Finally out on DVD comes one of my favorite guilty pleasures, Navy vs. The Night Monsters. Anthony Eisley stars with mamie Van Doran in this tale about walking, acid bleeding trees that feed on humans and animals.
Shot on a soundstage most of the time, it shows, but that is part of the charm of this wonderful little film. The supporting cast includes Walter Sande as the head of the scientific department, Taggert Casey & Russ Bender (both starred in Roger Corman's It Conquered The World) and Bobby Van.
Most people claim they hate this film, but I guess they don't have that childlike fascination with movies anymore. I love and highly Recommend it.
