I was suprised to see this title at my local Hastings store so I couldn;'t resist buying it and seeing what it was like. Rory Calhoun stars as a stockcar driver who, while injured teaches another young man the ropes of racing. He finds himself falling for his student's wife, played by the lovely Connie Hines in her film debut.
Alan Hale is also around as the head mechanic and the racing footage is spectacular. If you like action and drama on a regional level where all the action does not take place in boring California then this is for you. This was filmed in North Carolina and the accents are fun to listen to because this was made at a time when movies had flavor. Recommended!!
