Boris Karloff is a criminal known as Gruesome, a man who is attempting to steal a doctors secret formula for a gas that paralyzes people for a short time.
Ralph Byrd is the famous detective and Anne Gwynne is Tess Trueheart. Skelton Knaggs is X Ray and Lyle Latell is Pat Patton. The scenes of people freezing as the criminals rob banks is well done and this film moves along at a very brisk pace.
One of the best of the Tracy films not only because of Karloff, but because this film is well made and delivers the goods. Recommended!!
