I DIED A THOUSAND TIMES 1955 (WARNER ARCHIVES)

A great color film noir!

Jack Palance stars as "Mad Dog" Earle in this very well made remake of High Sierra. Palance is a criminal sprung from jail by a high living gangster who wants him to work with three young punks to pull off a daring robbery.

Earl Holliman, Lee Marvin and Shelley Winters are the people involved in the crime as well as Perry Lopez who is a very scared man who works at the front desk of the hotel that the gangster wants knocked off.

I found myself really relating to the Palance character of Earle,a world weary man tired of young people thinking they know how to do a man's work and who's only friend is a friendly dog.

This is a well made and paced remake of a true classic, but it actually has it's own merits thanks to a stellar cast and very good director Stuart Heisler. Warne Archive has released this is a beautiful cinemascope print in gorgeous color. The rest of the cast includes lovely Lori Nelson, Pedro Gonzalez Gonzalez, Lon Chaney, Jr., Olive Carey, Ralph Moody and Richard Davalos. Highly Recommended!!
