Claudio Cassinelli stars as one of the few survivors of a shipwreck that finds themselves stranded on a mysterious island inhabited by a beautiful woman and her very jealous suitor.
They soon find themselves stalked by creatures that live in the sea and are cared for by the woman.The woman, Amanda Mavin, played by gorgeous Barbara Bach feeds the creatures an has several secrets to hide about herself as well. Her suitor is played by Richard Johnson, and he does a great job as usual.
Joseph Cotton is on hand as the helpless father of Amanda who is actually creating the creatures for Johnson who is trying to get gold out of the sunken city of Atlantis.
The print from Sinister is perfect in every way. Gorgeous widescreen and crystal clear picture quality. This was also released as "Screamers" from new World pictures with additional footage, but this is the much preferred version. If you get a chance you might want to check this out. it has some shocking moments and is just nothing but fun.
