In ancient Japan, a good lord is killed and his throne is taken over by an evil emperor. He remains in power for many years until a young man appears one day and threatens to kill the despot.
This is a great mixture of Japanese monster films and Samurai films. The serpent shows up at the beginning and then at the end at it battle a giant frog and a creepy black widow spider.
It will remind you of the Majin films quite a bit. It is well directed and acted and if you like movies such as this then the Retromedia disc is the one for you. Check it out.
