Beautiful Maureen Ridley stars as Damballa, a swamp witch. Ron Tanet is Ted Watkins, a former Army Ranger who decides to live in seclusion on what the locals call The Haunted Island.
When two men attempt to rob him of his money they end up killing him and Damballa brings him back to life and both seek revenge of those who committed the crime.
This is a real oddity. It's shot in beautiful color and scope. Ridley is really something to see as she dances naked before turning into a snake.
The local flavor of the area is really captured in this regional horror film that is really unlike anything else you might see.
One of the oddest films in the Sinister Catalogue I think it is well worth the time to check out.
