The man who starred in the original Night Of The Living Dead as the sheriff has passed away just a few days after his 81st birthday.
Kosana was a native of Clairton, PA and rose to semi-stardom by appearing in the George Romero classic. He ad-libbed one of the most remembered lines in movie history when he said of the zombies..."yeah they're dead...they're all messed up".
He also appeared in the Romero film There's Always Vanilla and another film called The Booby Hatch. Kosana had been battling various illnesses over the past few years.
