This is a rare Universal gem starring Claude Rains as a brilliant young man whose life and talents are used by a very unscupulous business man, played by Lionel Atwill, and it finally drives him to commit a horrible murder..hence the title.
Well acted but sometimes slow and pondering, this is a good feature and you really get to see Raines look and act everything from mild mannered to insane.
Joan bennett is Raines loving wife who also comes under the behavior of Atwill, who is perfect in his role.
