RABID (SOMERVILLE HOUSE)

The classic horror film from David Cronenberg stars Marilyn Chambers as a young woman who, after some emergency surgery becomes a creature who must have blood to live and everyone she attacks becomes a homicidal blood seeking killer themselves.
A truely terrifying movie set in Montreal, this shocker never lets up and Chambers does a very good job in her first leading role in a mainstream film. There are scenes of rabid people attacking others in the city that are not soon forgotten, and this shocker ranks right up there with They Came From Within as one of Cronenberg's best films.Ivan Riteman (Ghostbusters) produced this and many other Canadian horror films in the mid to late 70's including Cannibal Girls.
Highly Recommended film for horror movie fans.
