John Beal is a small town doctor who suffers from migraine headaches, he accidently takes some pills from a scientist which are made from the cells of vampire bats.
The pills become very addictive and he changes into a scaley skinned blood sucker at many different times. Coleen Gray is his sexy secretary/nurse and Kenneth Tobey is the policeman in charge of the investigation into several bizarre murders.
The story is deeper than most films of this type go as Beals' young daughter is actually the one who gave him the wrong pills and the fact that his addiction is tearing his relationship with everyone to shreds.
Pat Fielder wrote this very interesting story. The supporting cast consists of Dabbs Greer, Herb Vigran, James Griffith and Lydia Reed. Recommended Halloween viewing!!
