McQueen stars as Buzz Rickson, a man who loves fighting in WW2 an loves the destruction he can cause.
Rickson fails at everything but his missions so he loves all the danger involved. His crew is dedicated and sometimes they do not agree with his tactics, but they are loyal. Robert Wagner is his partner named Bo. The two respect each other, but when Rickson tries to horn in on the girl that Bo loves it causes a lot of problems.
Director Philip Leacock does a fin e job of bringing this story to the screen and McQueen is perfect for the role. Shirley Anne Field is the lovely lady Wagner's character loves. I like this actress, but her career was sadly short. Field really shines here.
This is classic drama and any movie fan should check it out.
