Alexis Smith is Elinor Bentley Fairchild, a young heiress whose three former grooms have met with horrible accidents and death.
Wayne Morris is Lucky Downing, a bankrupt business man who is paid to marry the woman and see if the curse continues. Soon Lucky becomes the target of a mysterious ghost intent on killing him.
There are some great comedic moments in this film, most of them come from Morris and Willie Best as Clarence, his helper. The film moves along at a brisk pace even though the plot is very simple and short.
If you like old dark house horror and comedy you should find this very entertaining. The film runs 71 minutes and it will keep your attention. The "Smiling Ghost" is an interesting creation.
