Michael Berry stars as Jodie, a young man travelling across the country who stops by a small lake to eat his lunch.
As he eats he is suddenly visited by a lovely young woman named Melissa (Emby Mellay) who invites him to come visit her at the walnut farm which she lives at. Jodie gladly accepts and he soon finds himself invited to dinner and then invited to stay the night.
Melissa slowly tries to seduce Jodie but there is a small problem. Melissa and her family are trying to hide a family curse. Also residing in the house is an old woman who has already killed a farmer with a pitchfork which is shown at the very beginning of the movie.
The old woman comes to Jodie's room and Melissa explains that that is her grandmother and she is just curious. Melissa manages to convince Jodie to stay a while as they get to know each other better.
A policeman comes to the farm to look around for clues as to who the killer is and he himself is brutally murdered by the old woman. Jodie is clearly shaken and it's explained that the old woman is actually Melissa's sister who was almost burned at the stake over 100 years ago. Her name is really Lucinda (Jeanne Gerson).
Melissa explains that she sold her soul to Satan to save her sister from the flames and it has cursed her family. Jodie refuses to believe in the Devil or witches or the fact that she is 127 years old.
Jodie leaves but he is compelled to come back and when Melissa renounces her pact with Satan begins to age rapidly. Jodie in turn sells his soul to make her young again.
This is a very low key and interesting film, at least I think so. I read a lot of bad things about this film, but trust me, there are many worse films out there. I'd recommend it for h
orror fans.
