BLOOD TIDE 1982 (TREE LINE)

Strange little film that did keep me interested.

James Earl Jones stars as Frye, an adventurer who releases a monster on a Greek island while searching for treasure.

A man named Neil Grice (Martin Kove) and his beautiful wife Sherry (Mary Louise Weller) arrive on this island after their marriage in order to search for Neil's missing sister Madeline (Deborah Shelton in her debut).

They are met by unfriendly islanders who want them to go away, but that doesn't happen, especially after they find Madeline living a very odd life and preparing herself for something she won't explain.

Jose Ferrer is the leader of the small island and believes in the monster legend. When the monster is freed it begins to kill people, and the islanders prepare a virgin sacrifice.

The monster looks like it would be a pretty interesting creation, but you only see it very fleetingly for 10 seconds or less thru the entire film. A lot of people dismiss this film, but it does have it's merits.

Three of those are Weller, Shelton and the always bikini clad Lydia Cornell. Seeing all this eye candy made the missing monster less missed...lol. The plot is very well done and it's not as bad as you think, but again we needed more monster.

Just watch it for the gorgeous women and you should be fine.
