A railroad boss named Tom Smith (Stanley Andrews) sends for Hoppy when he discovers that several employees are trying to steal his money.
Hoppy (William Boyd), California (Andy Clyde) and Lucky (Rand Brooks) all take jobs at the railroad in order to solve several mysteries. One of the mysteries involves the framing of an employee named Lee Garvin (John Kellog) for murder.
There are a lot of crosses and double crosses in this fast moving entry in the series. It's number 63 of 66 movies. The film runs just under an hour and it never slows down. Any Hopalong Cassidy fan should love this film.
The rest of the cast includes Don Haggerty, Elaine Riley, Harry Strang and Herbert Rawlinson. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
