Newman started his acting career in the 1960 crime film "Pretty Boy Floyd" and never looked back. He had many roles in TV show, but his claim to fame on the small screen was "Pertocelli" who was a private investigator who tackled a new crime each week.
Besides that very well made show, he mad some movies as well but none are remembered as well as the 1971 cult classic "Vanishing Point" in which he played a character named Kowalski, a car delivery driver. I have reviewed the film here in the past and all I can say is you have to see it to appreciate it.
Newman passed away on May 11th, 2023 at the age of 92.
