IT CONQUERED THE WORLD 1956 (TIMELESS)

One of my fondest childhood memories.

I obtained a DVD-R of this film after years of having a bootleg that I made myself years ago.

Peter Graves stars as a scientist whose best friend, another scientist named Tom Anderson (Lee Van Cleef) has helped an alien from Venus land on Earth.

Tom believes that the alien is here to help mankind, but boy is he wrong. The alien stops all power in the world and beings to send out little flying monsters to bite several key people and make them his slaves so he can conquer the Earth.

Graves' character of Paul Anderson must fight the invasion by himself as nobody believes his story of invasion, except Tom, who finally helps Paul only after his wife Claie (Beverly Garland) is killed by the invader.

I don;t care what anyone says, this is a very enjoyable Roger Corman film and it will always be one of my favorite films. The quality on this is a little better than my bootleg was and I do thank the folks who have this available.

The rest of the cast includes Dick Miller, Sally Fraser, Jonathan Haze, Taggert Casey, Russ Bender and Karen Kadler.

I also must add that I think this monster is one of the best 50's monsters ever to be in a movie. Call me crazy, but it's too cool.
