This is a very tight and well made little mystery running just under 45 minutes. Tom Neal is a detective whose secretary gets mixed up in a murder while he is out of town. The murder centers around a hat box which has a camera located inside which also has a gun in it.
Pamela Blake is the secretary, Allen Jenkins is Harvard, the detectives right hand man and Virginia Sale is Veronica Hoopler. Lambert Hillyer directs well and one unique thing about this film is that in the very beginning the four main characters actually introduce themselves and their real names before the rest of the cast and credits are shown. This is the only time I can recall seeing something like this.
Not a bad murder mystery at all and one I recommend.
