His real name was Brian Knighton and he was one of the nicest, but most violent wrestlers in history. He will always be remembered for the infamous Taipei death Match in which he fought Ian Rotten with broken glass taped to their knuckles. It became what is known as one of the bloodiest wrestling matches in US history.
The cause of death hasn't been released, but Axl will indeed be missed by friends and family. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy in the world of pro wrestling. He was 44.
