Sammartino was an Italian immigrant who went on to become one of the greatest wrestlers in the sports history.
Sammartino was a World Heavyweight Champion for a record 11 years in the 60's and 70's and drew packed houses whenever he wrestled. There isn't much I can add that hasn't been said on every other website.
I grew up watching this legend and he will always be in my memories. A legend, a champion, a role model and a gentleman. RIP Bruno. He was 82.
