BLAKE OF SCOTLAND YARD 1934 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Not too shabby of an effort from Victory Pictures.

Originally a 15 chapter serial from Victory, this is the feature version also released to theaters and finally to Television.

Ralph Byrd stars as Dr. Jerry Sheehan, a young man who has helped invent a "death ray machine" along with Sir James Blake (Herbert Rawlinson) in order to keep world peace.

However, a group of criminals runs by a mysterious person known as "The Scorpion" also wants the device to rule the entire world. This is a fast moving film as usual with these types of efforts.

I have never seen the serial, but if it's as entertaining as this feature version, then I will have to find it and see all I am missing. Byrd does his usual great job as the heron and he plays well off of Joan Barclay as Hope Mason, the woman Jerry wants to marry.

The print quality is pretty darn good for a film of this age and if you haven't seen this I can easily recommend it.
