This is an ultra low budget attempt from director David Prior to cash in on low budget action films. Does he succeed? You be the judge.
Lynda Aldon stars as a former CIA agent named Rachael McKenna who is hired by the CIA to recruit an army to stop a violent drug dealer. One of her bosses is Joan Hanson played by Gail Fisher.
McKenna recruits 12 women from a federal jail and quickly trains them to go to war. There are endless battle scenes with the women and dealers shooting at each other and the special effects explosions are pathetic.
Sadly the fight scenes aren't much better and everything seems to never quite come together. However, if you like Z budget acton, this is indeed for you.
Edy Williams is always a joy to see and her role as Sgt. Roberts is wonderful. Now, lets get to Gail Fisher. I grew up watching this beautiful woman in Mannix and followed her career for a long time.
Her tragic life makes a much better story than this film and everytime I see her I feel badly because she deserved so MUCH BETTER in real life.
Edd Byrnes is also in this film. He plays a psycho white slaver/rapist who gets his nut sack stabbed!! Damn, I do have to admit that scene is rather painful to see.
