DEADLY INHERITANCE 1968 (DVD LADY)

A very well made, but not very well known Giallo.

Over the last year I have seen many, many of these kinds of movies, and this blog will attest to that. This one was very well made in my opinion.

The death of a railroad worker reveals that he was extremely wealthy. During the reading of his will his three daughters discover that they have to wait 3 years until their dim witted brother turns 21 before they can collect the money.

Well, of course, this sets up the scenerio for murder and deception. Before you know it, the brother is killed and a police inspector named Gerard Greville (Tom Drake) is called into the case.

He tries to put the clues together and in the mean time he is also falling for one of the sisters named Simone (Femi Benussi). The bodies continue to pile up until the very cleaver twist ending which I admit caught me by surprise.

This is a very good film with a family made the central character and then isolated in the story. I just cannot understand why this is so lost in the Giallo world.

The movie is loaded with great performances and beautiful women, not the least of which is my personal Goddess of Italian cinema Femi Benussi. She is simply stunning in this movie.

The rest of the cast for this highly recommended movie includes Virgilio Gazzolo, Valeria Ciangottini and Ivo Garrani.
