The first scene of a brutal killing lets the viewer know exactly what they are in for.
A hrutal copycat of Jack The Ripper is stalking lovely women all over London, and it seems the police are powerless to stop him, as they don't have one clue or witness.
Inspector Bill Rowan (Gilbert Wynne) is in charge of the case, and it begins to take a toll on his marriage to Jenny (Linda Marlowe). They finally get time together and things seem to be on the mend when another murder happens.
Rowan has a prime suspect in mind but no evidence. Rowan introduces his wife to Judge Charles Lomax (Jack May) who is out for the night with his wife Helena (Justine Lord). Lomax and his wife offer to drive Jenny home when he gets another call about a murder.
A few days after this happens Jenny becomes a murder victim. This almost drive Bill over the edge and he becomes even more aggressive in finding the killer.
This shocking movie is very bleak and depressing, but it works on so many levels. The killer reminds me of some of our political figures today. It's a true shock to see this killer as he really is when not in public.
I saw this on TUBI and no, it's not remastered, but it's still good enough to watch in my opinion and I cannot see how one would be disappointed.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
