Larru Buchanan directed this very low budget remake of Roger Corman's Day The World Ended. It actually looks like In The Year 1966, but that is besides the point.
Neil Fletcher is a man who has a home built in a canyon that actually keeps radiation out whose home is occupied by himself and his lovely daughter. Soon five more people join them which makes the father very unhappy as he only has provisions for three.
Paul Peterson is the young man who brings his radiation infected brother to the home, Charla Doherty is the daughter of Fletcher, Bill Thurman is Tim, an old drunk and prospector and finally we have the luscious Quinn O' Hara as Jada, a stripper.
She is the absolute highlight of the movie as she looks absolutely gorgeous. Every scene she is in she steals it.
The monster is one of Buchanan's best in my opinion, and the movie basically is a scene by scene remake with some slight dialogue changes.
Rounding out the cast is Max Anderson as Granger, the brother of Peterson's character, Hugh Feagin as Jada's lover and Bryon Lord as the monster.
I do love this film and I always have since I first saw it many years ago on the late, late, late show. If you get a chance you might want to watch this made in Texas film and please, don't believe all the negative things you read about this stuff, judge for yourself.
