Another winner starring Randolph Scott as a man who helps a female criminal reform and then fights a bunch of baddies who are terrorizing the midwest including the "Sundance Kid" played to the hilt by Robert Ryan. This character is one of the most insane and violent I have seen in a western for a very long time.
George "Gabby" Hayes is a banker and along for some great, but not overplayed comic relief, Anne Jeffries is the woman Scott reforms and her name is Cheyenne. The other ourlaw groups in this film are the Younger Brothers, Dalton Gang, Billy the Kid and Wild Bill Doolin among others.
Director Ray Enright does an exceptional job and the supporting cast of Lex Barker, Robert Armstrong, Tom Tyler, Tom Keene, Steve Brodie, Jacqueline White and Lew Harvey does just a good of a job.
This is no "run of the mill" western, this is a damn good film. Recommended!!
