A killer known as "The Lipstick Killer" is running loose in New York murdering women and a newspaper tries to put together the clues to capture the killer. This is a first rate film noir directed by Fritz Lang and there are more plots going on than in any modern day trash that is churned out.
The cast is a noir fans dream..John Barrymore, Jr. is the killer, Dana Andrews isa TV newsman who seeks the killer and even taunts him during a broadcast, gorgeous Rhonda Fleming is Dorothy Kyne whose husband owns the paper, Walter Kyne is played by Vincent Price. James Craig is Harry Kritzer who is having an affair with Dorothy, George Sanders, Howard Duff, Thomas Mitchell, Sally Forrest and Ida Lupino round out the stellar cast.
Warner Archive had made this available in a nice widescreen print. Recommended!!
